Illness and infection
It is very important that we control the spread of infection at the Pre-School, in order to do so we enforce the following exclusion times:
Common Cold/Tonsillitis
Management discretion is applied however the child must be deemed as generally well in themselves and happy to be at preschool – if they have needed Calpol etc before they come – they probably would be better staying at home. Treatment must start immediately after head lice has been detected. Children must be clear of symptoms for 48 hours since the last loose stool or period of vomiting. Until treated with antibiotic cream for 24 hours. Until all blisters are dry and the child’s general health is normal. 5 days from the commencement of antibiotic treatment. 5 days from the onset of a rash. 5 days from the onset of a rash. Until blisters are dry and the child’s general health is normal. 5 days from the onset of swollen glands. 5 days from the onset of a rash, until all crusts have dried and sores are no longer crusty If your child is diagnosed with this illness, you must contact the pre-school as soon as you possibly can so the management can take prompt action Please help stop the spread of germs/infections by taking note of the above advice. If your child should become unwell whilst at Nursery you will be contacted and asked to collect them as soon as possible or you must ensure somebody is available to collect your child this will help stop the spread of any of the above.
